Assemble Earth's mightiest squad with free-to-play action-RPG mobile game!

Heroes, have you heard Nick Fury’s call?

Ultimus, the Kree Warlord, and his army have made their way to Earth, and the S.H.I.E.L.D. Director is looking to recruit heroes in “MARVEL Strike Force,” now available on iOS and Android. The free-to-play squad-based Super Hero RPG set in the Marvel Universe from FoxNext Games will see heroes like Captain America, Black Panther, Wolverine, Gamora, and many others, joining forces to take on the latest threat Fury must face.

Take a look at the exclusive gameplay trailer above, and get debriefed on the mission at-hand with Jason Bender, Creative Director at FoxNext Games; Tim Hernandez, Director, Game Production at Marvel Games; and Bill Rosemann, Executive Director, Creative at Marvel Games. They’re your best bet at gathering intel on necessary alliances at S.T.R.I.K.E. and strategic combat to dominate the enemies of S.H.I.E.L.D.. The fate of the world is on you, Heroes!

Marvel.com: How did the partnership between FoxNext Games and Marvel come about?

Tim Hernandez: The FoxNext Games team immediately captured our attention with an early prototype of the gameplay that really blew us away. I guess it shouldn’t have come as a surprise, considering the experienced dev veterans on the team, and from that perspective we really wanted to collaborate from the beginning. The more we discussed their vision for the game, how they planned to push the limits of mobile gaming, and the passion they had for Marvel (we can tell the True Believers from the posers, trust us), the more we realized that we had the makings of something special, and that we had to make this game together…plus they had us at “Ultimus.”

Marvel.com: How does this game differ from other games in Marvel’s mobile portfolio?

Jason Bender: “MARVEL Strike Force” is about building the dream team. Strategy is at the core, so it’s all about creating a squad out of characters that work well together. They have to have the right combination of abilities to overcome the challenge before them, so players will need to field surprising combinations of characters, including heroes and villains that we don’t usually see working together.

Tim Hernandez: As Jason mentioned, constructing the perfect squad is where you really appreciate the depth of the game, and what really sets it apart in terms of gameplay. You can always go in and kick some Kree butt for fun or to advance through the campaign story, but strategically strengthening your roster with the right mix of teams and upgrading their abilities for a given mission, a huge wave of enemies, or to take on other players’ teams, is where this game really shines.

Bill Rosemann: Venom and Captain America! Spider-Man and Rocket Raccoon! Crossbones and Loki! It’s all of the hero/villain, hero/hero and villain/villain combos you never thought you’d get to see…but now will so desperately want to unleash!

Marvel.com: Last fall, “MARVEL Strike Force” released a teaser that showed a security breach at Stark Industries. We witnessed the Kree Warlord Ultimus challenge Earth’s mightiest heroes. Why has Ultimus come to Earth, and what made him the ultimate Super Villian for players to battle?

Jason Bender: Ultimus has traveled across parallel dimensions, subjugating one Earth after another, and is forcing their heroes and villains to join his mind-controlled army. His goal is to ensure the dominance of the Kree Empire once and for all, so he won’t stop until every possible version of Earth is conquered. He has already converted an army of super humans, so S.T.R.I.K.E. and its allies will have to find a way to stop an army of Hulks, Iron Fists, Punishers, and more from devastating our home planet.

Tim Hernandez: And also save that poor Stark Industries security guard who makes another cameo in the new gameplay trailer (above). Poor guy is having a rough day.

Bill Rosemann: Yeah, I mean he’s just trying to make it to the weekend so he can play his favorite new Marvel mobile game! Meanwhile, I gotta say that while I’m no fan of their evil intentions, you have to respect the logic and boldness of the orders that the Kree Supreme Intelligence has given Ultimus. Why endure the continued annoyance of the Earth heroes foiling your various plans for universal conquest when you can instead just target those meddling do-gooders directly and make them fight themselves? It’s ingenious…and only Nick Fury’s S.T.R.I.K.E. (Special Tactical Reserve for International Key Emergencies) Force has a chance of stopping them!

Marvel.com: For fans unfamiliar with Ultimus, is there anything else about the back story that they should know before diving into the game?

Jason Bender: Ultimus is a fascinating character who first appeared in a 1974 issue of Thor under the name of Demon Druid. In that issue, Thor’s hammer bounced right off of him and he was able to knock Thor out in a single blow. Over time it was revealed that Ultimus is a Kree warrior of exceptional strength, and also an Eternal. Eternals are rare and extremely powerful, the most notable of which is Thanos, who we’ll see rock the world in “Avengers: Infinity War” next month. When we last saw Ultimus in the comics, he was exiled to the edge of space. In “Strike Force,” he returns as a zealous and battle-scarred general at the head of a Kree war fleet who is determined to secure the dominance of the Kree Empire once and for all.

Tim Hernandez: I just want to add, that it was a stroke of genius to reimagine Ultimus, Jason. I’m sure Bill knew him but, being completely honest here, I had to do a bit of research when you first pitched him as the big bad for the game. It was so much fun working with you guys to give him a 21st century makeover!

Bill Rosemann: When Jason suggested Ultimus as our big bad we jumped at the chance to modernize him for a new audience. As our friends in Publishing, TV and Studios often do, the Marvel Games team embraces the opportunity to dig through the “toybox,” find characters from decades past that have great potential, and then reimagine them in a way that is accessible and meaningful for a new generation. It all begins with studying the source material, then discussing the necessary elements that define them, and then iterating back and forth until an awesome new story and visual is born. Ultimus has all the ingredients — an awesome name, an impressive and memorable visual, and a relatable story (a proud warrior who feels betrayed and is now seeking revenge and redemption) – that makes an authentic and awesome Marvel villain.

Marvel.com: Right out the gate with today’s launch, what characters will be available?

Jason Bender: There will be 64 collectible characters at launch, with more soon to come. You’ll be able to collect a wide variety of Super Heroes and Super Villains from across the spectrum. Marquee teams like the Avengers, Defenders, and Guardians of the Galaxy will be available, as well as classics such as Spider-Man and Punisher, and some special characters like Night Nurse and Crossbones. There will also be a number of faction characters to support your leaders, ranging from Hand ninjas and Ravagers to Hydra soldiers and S.H.I.E.L.D. operatives.

Tim Hernandez: Jason is being modest. Not only is the character roster massive, nearly every one of the incredibly detailed designs has a unique new spin that’s original to “MARVEL Strike Force;” it’s not just Ultimus.

Bill Rosemann: It was so fun working with the FoxNext Games team on the unique looks of every character. Each Hero and Villain is instantly recognizable, but their visual designs are specific to “MARVEL Strike Force.” From the uber popular like Spider-Man to the cult faves like Night Nurse (whose outfit was inspired by a short story from the Secret Wars comic book event), you’ll want to study each character to see how their detailing and overall presentation is unique to this game.

Marvel.com: Can you give us a rundown of the game mechanics? How do we factor in daily objectives, campaigns, and special in-game events?

Jason Bender: The story begins with the campaign mode, where we learn about the invasion and S.T.R.I.K.E.’s role in defending the Earth. From there, a wide variety of game modes unlock. Players can sink their teeth into tons of gameplay in Blitz mode, put their squad building skills to the test in challenges, dominate the ranks of Arena mode, and work together with their Alliance to conquer the cooperative Raids mode.

Marvel.com: What can you tell us about the Arena mode?

Jason Bender: Arena mode will put your skills to the test. With only a limited number of battles per day, it’s all about intelligent team building to counter your adversaries’ team compositions and outplay them through clever use of abilities. Anyone can play and earn rewards, but it takes strategy to dominate the top ranks.

Marvel.com: What other environments can we explore in “MARVEL Strike Force”?

Jason Bender: S.T.R.I.K.E. stands for Strategic Tactical Reserve for Interdimensional Key Events, so there’s nowhere they won’t go! In true Super Hero fashion, our story begins on the streets and rooftops of New York City. From there, the S.T.R.I.K.E. Helicarrier will take you to underground Hydra bases, A.I.M. science labs, and Hand dojos. Before long, your heroes will find themselves brawling on Kree starships and alien planets.

Tim Hernandez: Also, keep an eye out for Marvel Easter eggs! We had a lot of fun coming up with some special surprises and love how the team packed so much detail and life into each level.

Marvel.com: With the emphasis on players commanding S.T.R.I.K.E. and building their fantasy drafts among Marvel’s roster, what characters pair well together to assemble the ultimate #squadgoals?

Jason Bender: Characters can team up in a variety of ways. Out of the gates, we’ll see classic team ups, like Iron Man bouncing repulsor beams off Cap’s shield, and Groot stabilizing Rocket Raccoon’s heavy blast cannon for maximum firepower.  It’s possible for anyone to team up, though. If Crossbones uses his fist-pistons to smash a foe into the air, Punisher can knock them out of the sky with his grenade launcher. Faction leaders also enjoy special bonuses when fielded with their teams: Yondu boosts his rowdy Ravagers, Red Skull commands his loyal Hydra forces, and Ultron’s drones upgrade him during the battle. With hundreds of available ability combinations, the tactical options are myriad.

Tim Hernandez: To add to Jason’s last point about faction leaders, I probably have too much fun having Kingpin call in his merc bodyguards, or Nobu summoning a Hand horde, buffing them up, and just drowning out the battlefield. Yes, it’s fun to be the bad guy, but it’s also a really cool strategy that can turn the tide of a losing battle. And to literally let it rain money and use blood magic, I guess!

Marvel.com: In addition to assembling the dream team in-game, can you tell us more about multiplayer functions if we’re looking to build alliances with friends IRL as well?

Jason Bender: Many of the best rewards in the game come from Raids, a cooperative game mode in which players must join forces with their Alliance to conquer a map of many battles, including difficult bosses. Later raids require just the right teams in order to attain the highest score and unlock unique upgrades. Many more cooperative features are planned for the future.

Marvel.com: What does Ultimus have in his arsenal that players should account for?

Jason Bender: Ultimus is the commander of an army of Kree warriors, with ability to transport his fleet from one dimension to the next, but he’s not afraid of doing his own dirty work. As an Eternal, he contains incredible power, which he can use to generate defensive force-fields and can unleash as searing energy blasts. He is especially dangerous against characters who have acquired a large number of positive status effects, making him a tank-buster, of sorts.

Marvel.com: What stands out in all the gameplay footage are the stunning cinematics and choreographed moves. What went into the build of the game and player experience?

Jason Bender: We wanted to bring a wide variety of Marvel characters to life, so we focused on combat choreography and personality. Agile characters move quickly from foe to foe with graceful martial arts techniques, while brawlers lay down the hurt with heavy-handed punches and slams. Ranged specialists all have distinct styles, as well, from Rocket Raccoon’s hand-built blasters to Hawkeye’s signature bow. As the battle rages on, heroes pay attention to the actions of allies and enemies, brace for incoming explosions, and step aside, dodge, or counter-attack when the brawl comes their way. The camera zooms in to highlight signature moves and then seamlessly swings back to a tactical view for maximum gameplay control. With each new character, we flesh out new aspects of the combat system and develop new technology so we can express who the character is on the inside through exciting, cinematic choreography.

Tim Hernandez: When you get into the fluid combat and see the insane abilities and attack animations, you forget that you’re actually playing a mobile game. Screenshots don’t do them justice, they’re really incredible and really bring the essence of each hero—and villains—to life. We all paid special attention to making sure every single character’s personality shined through. You can see if from the beginning with Spidey’s thwip and Luke Cage’s challenge to “bring it on,” to the not so known characters like good old S.H.I.E.L.D. Medic. Plus, they only get bigger and better as you build out your roster and pull off team up attacks, combo chains and knock outs.

Marvel.com: Now that the game is officially launched and open to iOS and Android players everywhere, how often will you be adding new characters and challenges?

Jason Bender: We’re adding characters as quickly as we can, starting with around 2 per month. There’s a very long list of characters we’re eager to bring to life!

Tim Hernandez: Actually, Jason, don’t you have to get back to work on the dozens of other characters you guys have planned? Seriously, the team isn’t resting easy despite launching with that INSANE number of heroes. They set a high bar to start with, but just wait and see what else they have planned. They don’t stop!

Marvel.com: Lastly, what in-game tips can you offer fans to hit the ground running?

Jason Bender: Character abilities change radically as they advance, so be sure to play lots of Alliance Raids and get ability materials. Develop a diverse team of protectors, blasters, brawlers, controllers, and support characters so your Strike Force can handle any threat. Always keep an eye on the top Arena, Blitz, and Raid players to find out how they build their teams. Always pay attention to new characters when they come out, as they’ll add ever-expanding tactical options to your roster. And have fun!

Tim Hernandez: Yep, I follow the same strategy: start with building a deep roster, collecting both heroes and villains so you can tackle multiple campaigns at once. That will make it easier to collect the resources you’ll need later to upgrade your characters and core teams. In any case you’re going to want multiple teams with diverse abilities to have ready for the various modes. Plus you’ll be able to play a wider range of heroes and villains before picking out your favorites to really level up. You’ll be surprised, they may not be the obvious choices…cough, cough, Night Nurse.

MARVEL PUZZLE QUEST

Wakanda Forever! Okoye (Warrior General), head of the Dora Milaje, joins the Avengers: Infinity War-fray as she brings her physical prowess to the hit mobile game this Thursday, May 17.

A fiercely loyal protector of Wakanda, Okoye would defend her king and her country with her life. The 5-Star Okoye (Warrior General) is as formidable with her spear as she is with her tongue. Her character utilizes Team-Up titles to increase the damage of friendly powers and heals herself. She also can deal damage by destroying rows of tiles. The good-all-around character is best in teams where she has the highest match damage, and pairs well with 5-Star Black Panther.

Wakanda Forever!, a passive black tile power, allows Okoye to fight to protect Wakanda at all costs. Damage from friendly powers is increased by 323 for each Team-Up AP you have. Okoye’s base Team-Up match damage is increased by 40%. At the start of the turn, if Okoye is not in the front, lose 1 friendly Team-Up AP.

With her Indomitable Spirit, a low cost yellow power, she dutifully protects her allies with stoic conviction, not letting anything break her composure. With true healing, the power restores 413 health for each Team-Up tile on the board, then converts 2 random basic titles to Team-Up tiles.

Lastly, Okoye can deal a Piercing Throw, a high cost red power, hurling her spear at the enemy, striking them at their weak point. The move deals 2583 damage and destroys a chosen row. The move will deal additional damage for each tile destroyed in the enemy’s chosen color.

Okoye (Warrior General) is available for a special limited time–Thursday, May 17, to Sunday, May 20. During the special legendary store, Don’t Freeze, Thursday, May 17 to Monday, May 21, you have a 15% chance to get Okoye (Warrior General), Black Panther (Civil War), and Spider-Man (Peter Parker).

In addition, we have a bunch of new Supports coming your way in Marvel Puzzle Quest, starting Tuesday, May 5! Don’t miss out on Vibranium Ore (Wakandan Secret), The Dora Milaje (Protectors of the Throne), Shuri’s Lab (Maker Space), Kimoyo Beads (Vibranium Communicator), and Ancestral Plane (Home of Panthers).

MARVEL PUZZLE QUEST

The fan-favorite Captain America – Peggy Carter of Marvel Puzzle Quest, of course – has tons of in-game activities to support the release of EXILES #3 from Saladin Ahmed and Javier Rodriguez, available in stores and digitally, tomorrow, May 9!

In EXILES #3, Peggy Carter Cap faces off against an apocalyptically armed Red Skull! And the Exiles are just in time to join the fight – ‘cuz they’ve been kicked off their mission! There’s a new team of Watchers in town, and they’re cracking down on the Exiles’ interference in the timestream – even if it means the death of everything. Can the Exiles salvage Peggy Carter’s world, fix the Tallus and get back to saving reality before the Time-Eater tracks them down again?

Meanwhile, in-game, the Peggy Carter Bundle started this week, and kicking off today, we’ve got a Peggy Carter Versus Event as well as an Exiles Limited Vault, where everyone will receive a free Vault token.

Going day and date with the release of EXILES #3, Peggy Carter (Captain America) Champion Rewards are updated to include Captain America (First Avengers) and update Valkyrie to use EXILES #1 (Design Variant).

What exactly does Peggy Carter Captain America have up her sleeves? Her first ability is Ultimate Soldier, a red ability that costs 9 AP. When Captain America has a mission, no one gets in her way. Peggy lands a well-placed blow, ignoring any Protect tiles and dealing damage to the target.

Her second ability, Legendary Presence, is a Yellow Passive, which does not cost AP and is constantly active. When she enters the battle, her enemies panic and falter. While Peggy’s health is above 50%, all enemy abilities cost more AP to execute.

Lastly, Do As Peggy Says costs 11 Blue AP. When Peggy lands a direct hit with her shield, she disables the enemy team and helps her allies get the drop on their target.

Peggy Carter Captain America is earnable in the Unstable ISO-8 Event, this Thursday, May 10, and for an added bonus, this event is double Red Iso-8! Be sure to round out your roster with Peggy Carter in Marvel Puzzle Quest!

MARVEL CONTEST OF CHAMPIONS

For three and a half years, Marvel Contest of Champions has been setting up its own Infinity War storyline. The Mad Titan has been operating in the shadows, collecting the stones, since 2014. It’s been leading to this – a devastatingly epic final boss fight!

We need all the heroes we can get, and this Thursday, May 10, Captain America (Infinity War), complete with his Wakandan vambrace shields, enters the fray as he makes his way into the Contest! Cap’s basic abilities including Bleed, Stun, Fury and Kinetic Potential. His vibranium vambraces allows the Captain to store up to 5 Kinetic Potential charges. Summon up several of Cap’s special attacks like My Ally’s Claws, which inflicts Bleed and reduces his opponent’s defensive ability accuracy by 100%; activate Kinetic Discharge by smashing together his vambraces, unleashing a wave of kinetic energy, stunning your opponent; Lead from the Front, which sends his enemy crashing to the mat; and Leadership, where Cap learns from his teammates gaining a unique effect with Kinetically Charge for each class represented on his team, excluding himself.

We recommend mastering: Inequity, with his Signature Ability and the right teammates, Cap is capable of putting a lot of Debuffs on his opponent, allowing him to make greate use of this; Despair, with his natural ability to place Petrify Debuffs on his opponents, this can make for a powerful combination; and Petrify, where Cap can do a lot of Stunning, both through Well Timed Blocks, and through his Special 2 Attack, allowing him to keep the Petrify effect active for much of the fight.

  • Lights Out allows Widow to use covert weaponry to ensure no one gets past her stunning blows for three turns and deal 1,461 damage.
  • Defilade lets Nat hack the enemy’s surveillance system to keep herself out of sight and the line of fire, creating 4 invisibility tiles
  • While Black Widow has Invisibility tiles on the board, the power becomes Enfilade, allowing Black Widow to emerge from the shadows and strike out with her batons, surprising her enemy with a tactical strike. This destroys her Invisibility tiles and destroys 4 enemy Special tiles, dealing damage and gaining AP

Marvel Games' Bill Rosemann and Danny Koo reflect on the dynamic mobile game's third anniversary!

This week, Marvel Games and NetMarble are celebrating the three years of Marvel Future Fight and the fans, heroes and True Believers who make the mobile game an amazing success!

Marvel Future Fight entered their third year with an Avengers: Infinity War tie-in event that saw our heroes facing the greatest threat yet—Thanos! With this impressive update, Marvel.com took the time to sit down with Marvel Games executive creative director Bill Rosemann and senior producer Danny Koo to discuss the hit mobile game as well as what’s to come!

Marvel.com: What were your first memories of working with Netmarble on Marvel Future Fight?

Bill Rosemann: What I remember most about beginning the journey with Netmarble on Marvel Future Fight is how intense and quick our first weeks together were. I had just relocated my family across country and on my first day at work in the Marvel Games office, I was told, “Okay, we’re launching this new mobile game in six months…go!”

Danny Koo: Marvel Future Fight was the first mobile game I started overseeing when I joined the team. The development team and I definitely hit the ground running to work towards the introduction of World Boss mode. Of course we didn’t stop there – we collaborated on the huge Shadowland update and Marvel Future Fight’s first original character – Captain America Sharon Rogers!

Marvel.com: How has the relationship between Netmarble and Marvel grown and strengthened over the years?

Bill Rosemann: The team at Netmarble has proven that they are True Believers of the highest order, going above and beyond in their efforts to create the greatest amount of – and just plain great – content for players with each and every update. The number of different characters, suits, event content and supporting visuals that they create each month is staggering. Through their diligence and efforts they’ve forged bonds of trust that can withstand even the power of Thanos himself!

Danny Koo: In terms of relationship, it has definitely been steadily strengthening over the years. The Netmarble team totally understands how to bring Marvel characters to life. The astounding number of characters that have been released in the game so far just shows how well our teams work together. I have made several trips to South Korea to visit the Netmarble team and celebrate with them for all the efforts they have put forth so far. Of course there might be some roadblocks along the way, but that’s a normal part of development. We huddle over those obstacles quickly and move on with even more determination.

Marvel.com: What is your favorite part of being involved with Marvel Future Fight?

Bill Rosemann: My favorite part of being involved in Marvel Future Fight is working through the entire creative process. We begin by discussing each 12-month plan, strategizing on which new characters should be added to the game and when they should be added, and then we see the Super Heroes and Villains come to life through the progression of two-dimensional designs, to three-dimensional bodies, to finally seeing them leap to life via in-game action. Oh, and when each a new piece of key art is created, from black-and-white sketch to final full-color art – it’s an artistic thrill every time!

Danny Koo: My favorite part is definitely the collaboration with Netmarble to create all-new, original characters, such as Captain America Sharon Rogers and Luna Snow. Those two characters are important to me and it’s amazing that Sharon Rogers has even gotten her own Funko POP! I’m looking forward to creating more original products based on Marvel Future Fight. Creating original content is a huge priority for me on this game.

Marvel.com: What are your future plans/hopes for the game in the coming years?

Bill Rosemann: I hope that the talented team at Netmarble continues to unleash wave after wave of amazing character and gameplay scenarios that keep players around the world fighting… for the future!

Danny Koo: I hope Marvel Future Fight continues to attract audiences from different corners of the world. We all want new exciting modes and original content for Marvel Future Fight and we will continue to work together to strive towards that! Here’s to another year to come!

Marvel.com: Who’s your favorite character in Marvel Future Fight?

Bill Rosemann: As much as I love our take on classic characters like Spider-Man, Black Widow and Hulk, there’s also a special thrill seeing our own unique characters like Sharon Rogers Captain America and Luna Snow being embraced by the Marvel Future Fight family.

Danny Koo: I have two favorite characters – Captain America Sharon Rogers (a.k.a. ShaRog, as the fans nicknamed her) andLuna Snow, the first Marvel K-Pop Super Hero!

Marvel.com: What about your favorite content update?

Bill Rosemann: The Marvel Games team loves the X-Men, so it was an honor and privilege to help unleash – and continue to usher through subsequent updates – the mighty mutants into Marvel Future Fight.

Danny Koo: Every update, I am excited about the growth of the character roster and new features that players can enjoy. Shadowland is perhaps my favorite update, because you can take a simple idea of a ladder and make it a challenge that is thematically appropriate.

Marvel.com: Can you describe the experience of developing original characters for the game?

Bill Rosemann: They may be digital creations, but the long and intense process of creating an all-new character who can stand alongside the legendary Iron Man, Daredevil and Captain Marvel…well, that’s a special adventure to be a part of. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank the Netmarble team for teaming with us and working so intently to introduce new heroes worthy of the name Marvel, and we also thank every Marvel Future Fight player who has embraced them. Bring on the cosplayers!

Danny Koo: Developing original characters takes time especially when come to collaboration. On Marvel Games side, we need to ensure that they are authentic Super Heroes and able to tell compelling stories. We also have so many characters in the Marvel Universe that we need to ensure the new character can carve up an unique space on their own. Also, we need to give Netmarble some iteration time in order to give the original character the most awesome treatment. So, in reality, we need to give Netmarble Monster some space and time to have the power to develop the original character that embodies the soul of a Marvel Super Hero with creativity in mind!

Thanos isn’t only terrorizing Earth’s Mightiest Heroes on-screen with the April 27 release of Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Infinity War.” Starting this week, the Mad Titan will have our heroes scrambling to assemble across seven titles in Marvel Games roster. Now let’s get on to what cataclysmic events we can expect to see this week and what we can tease for the remaining participating titles!

MARVEL CONTEST OF CHAMPIONS

Are you ready to earn the rare title of “Infinity Warrior”? Black Panther’s Chadwick Boseman and Spider-Man’s Tom Holland will be kicking off their Champion Challenge tomorrow, Thursday, April 19, and run to May 17, to get you trained for the Contest’s upcoming Infinity War event!

Beginning on Wednesday, April 25, you can expect to find four new events in-game with the latest build update, including the “Infinity Nightmare” story quest, a daily “Infinity Trials” quest,” the solo “Vanquishing Blows” challenge, and “Infinity Dungeons,” which features social co-op quests.

  • TRIALS OF THE MAD TITAN (April 25 – June 6)
The powers of the Battlerealm’s Infinity Stones have spread throughout the Contest, leaving pockets of their condensed energies ripe for the picking. Cut your teeth on foes infused with the power of the Stones each day, and then collect Boosts that will temporarily give you access to the unique powers offered by each Stone! Combine these boosts on the final day each week to take on power enemies in the Trial of Omniscience, where the greatest rewards and most dangerous enemies lie.
  • INFINITY DUNGEONS (Available for a limited time only!)
Team up with another Summoner to battle through an endless series of Rooms. Even better, they don’t have to be in your alliance! Strategize with them while in the Dungeon with the new Quick Chat feature. Each Dungeon has a unique theme depending on the day you play, including randomized Buffs on Nodes that are different every time you play. The further you go, the harder it becomes, and the better the rewards. Once you completed a Room, you must decide whether to push on to the next and more difficult Room, or conclude the Dungeon and collect the points and rewards you’ve earned so far. Points earn you a new currency called Dark Artifacts. Use these vessels of dark power to purchase new Infinity Dungeon Crystals containing Champions.

Cosmic warrior Proxima Midnight entered the Battlerealm last week, but she is never too far from her other half. Expect the arrival of Corvus Glaive and others invading the Battlerealm rolling out over the next few weeks!

MARVEL PUZZLE QUEST

Right out the gate, on Thursday, April 19, Captain America (Infinity War) brings his A-game, doing what’s right and saving the world one clandestine mission at a time. Pick up Captain America (Infinity War) here.

The good-all-around playable character is perfect for use in teams where you want to shut down problematic enemy powers. Harness the Super-Soldier’s powers during the “Come and Get Me Event,” running April 19 to April 22!

  • Rope-a-Dope allows Cap to distract the enemy with a false advance, misleading them and leaving their backline vulnerable
  • Coup de Grace lets Cap summon all his strength to land a finishing blow
