Luck be a lady as Domino enters the Contest this Thursday, June 7!

Neena Thurman AKA Domino is the lucky result of an unlucky government weapons program designed to breed the perfect weapon. After escaping a top-secret facility with her mother, she honed her Mutant ability to manipulate probabilities and joined the mercenary group known as X-Force. Get a glimpse of Domino in action above!

Domino’s basic abilities include Luck, Critical Bleed, and Critical Damage. She’s great when Bleed is present. Whether attacking or defending, if the enemy triggers Bleed, she’ll be in a good place. Conveniently, a lot of notorious Skill Champions rely on stacking Bleeds. Opponents that trigger abilities frequently, such as on every hit, will have a chance to fail on each of those events, and therefore trigger her Signature Critical Failure Ability often. Tech opponents that don’t Bleed, don’t inflict Bleed, or possess few abilities like Vision can walk all over Domino.

This assassin has EIGHT Synergy bonuses — Six Pack with Deadpool, which gives her +10% damage against Champions that aren’t female or robots; X-Force with Deadpool, where each time she performs a well-timed Block, the chance for her to be Lucky increases by +10% the next time she fills a Bar of Power. Weapon X Strike Team with Old Man Logan or Sabretooth allows hers to avoid an attack by Dashing Back. Mercs for Money with Masacre allows Domino to Debuff for a second longer. Code Red Revelations with Red Hulk lets Domino’s Heavy Attacks inflict an Incinerate that deals damage equal to that Heavy Attack’s damage over 2 seconds. Better Luck Next Time with M.O.D.O.K. or Taskmaster gives her a +20% chance to activate them during her next fight if she’s never hit with a Special Attack while both Lucky and Unlucky were active. It’s Complicated with Cable sees Domino starting the fight with either Lucky or Unlucky active for 7 seconds. And lastly, Romance with Colossus or Wolverine gives all Teammates a +4% Power Gain.

That’s not all!

The Battlerealm is in disarray as Thanos has been defeated and the Grandmaster MIA after being stripped of his power. Champions, prepare for Assassin Assignments as Domino doles out assignments 2-3 times a day for all you mercenaries in hopes of locking down the most lucrative scores. Impress her enough, you’ll unlock rewards and you may trigger a bigger contract with Merc Missions for your Alliance! While Assassin Assignments are short quests; Merc Missions are Bounty Missions (short, 2 fight quests that each consist of 4 difficulties). This event will run until July 2!

Writer Dennis Hopeless reveals his plans for the new digital comic!

One of Marvel’s most mysterious teams is getting a brand new limited digital series! CLOAK AND DAGGER #1, available today and written by Dennis Hopeless with art by David Messina, will pick up during a bumpy time in Cloak and Dagger’s relationship. But like most powerful pairs, Tyrone and Tandy won’t be apart for very long.

We spoke to Dennis Hopeless to get an inside look on what’s in store for Cloak and Dagger!

Marvel.com: You’ve written for teams as well as individual characters. What was it like writing for two characters who are so different but so intertwined?

Dennis Hopeless: CLOAK AND DAGGER sort of splits the difference between writing a solo character and writing a team. When you’re writing about a single hero you can tell the story from inside their head. There’s one POV, and that perspective drives the story. Team books are often more of an ensemble. The spotlight moves around and the team dynamic is a bigger part of the story than any single point of view.

With CLOAK AND DAGGER, we’re telling the story from two very different perspectives at the same time. Tyrone and Tandy are fundamentally intertwined characters, like you say, but they see the world through different lenses. It’s been a lot of fun playing with that shifting perspective. We let the reader into each of their heads, sometimes even showing the same scene from two different angles. Just like in life, it’s the differences that propel the drama.

Marvel.com: What has it been like seeing David Messina interpret your script into art?

Dennis Hopeless: David’s style is big, bombastic, and super heroic. This is very much a psychological thriller. Like all the best Cloak and Dagger stories, it crawls down some narrow alleys and gets real dark. David’s art brings some much needed light and life to that. I love it.

Marvel.com: Cloak and Dagger have not only had their powers since they were teenagers, but they’ve been a duo for the same amount of time. Where does this relationship stand when we meet them in CLOAK AND DAGGER #1?

Dennis Hopeless: The current state of Cloak and Dagger’s relationship is one of the main driving forces behind this story. When we open, they’re further apart than ever, and the new status quo is still uncomfortable for everyone. Then old memories crop up, like old memories always do, and they’re yanked back together. It’s a lot of fun because we get to dive into their long history together. We spend some time with them in the early days when their powers and partnership were both still new and terrifying.

Marvel.com: Can you tell us anything about the “dangerous threat from their past” that is coming back? Is this series’ villain someone against whom Cloak and Dagger are seeking revenge?

Dennis Hopeless: That’s the old memory I was referring to. Tandy is working a murder case and spots something in a crime scene that brings back long forgotten teenage memories. Our villain sort of crawls up out of those memories… all of which is complicated by the fact that Cloak and Dagger are estranged. It’s a whole big tangled mess.

Marvel.com: Because they got their powers in such a scary way, do you feel like they feel resentment towards their powers? Do you think they’ve had long enough to accept them?

Dennis Hopeless: I think Tyrone and Tandy would each answer that question very differently. Dagger has embraced her powers and role as Super Hero in a way Cloak probably never will. To Tyrone, the Darkforce will always be a sort of curse. He uses it for good to the best of his ability, but it’s not something that gives him joy.

Marvel.com: Cloak and Dagger are coming back to address a mutual threat. Do you feel like there is any world in which they could truly separate for good?

Dennis Hopeless: They’re trying their best to do just that. So far it’s not going terribly well, but I guess we’ll find out.

CLOAK AND DAGGER #1 is available in the Marvel Digital Comics Shop, Comixology, and on the Amazon Kindle starting today!

You've met Tandy and Tyrone - now get a look at the rest of their universe!

We’re less than two months away from the premiere of “Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger,” only on Freeform! Don’t miss the two-hour premiere, on Thursday, June 7 at 8pm ET/PT!

You’ve been introduced to our two leads — Tandy Bowen (played by Olivia Holt) and Tyrone Johnson (played by Aubrey Joseph). Now meet the rest of the key players in their lives. Marvelites, you may recognize some of the characters from their comic book origins.

As a refresher:

Tandy Bowen (played by Olivia Holt) was once privileged little girl, who watched as her family was destroyed by a disastrous storm that uprooted her life. Now in her late teens, an unexpected encounter with a boy named Tyrone sparks a life changing event.

Olivia Holt as Tandy

Tyrone Johnson (played by Aubrey Joseph) is young man who wanted nothing more than to prove he was fearless. But when everything he held close was taken away, life taught Tyrone to be afraid. Now older and more sheltered, Tyrone closes himself off. But when he meets a girl named Tandy his life changes forever.

Aubrey Joseph as Tyrone

Detective Brigid O’Reilly (played by Emma Lahana) is accustomed to working in a man’s world but she isn’t looking to be “one of the guys”. Her New York sensibilities have hardened her from being too friendly or open, setting her apart from her Louisiana counterparts. Brigid believes in justice and doesn’t think that anyone should be above it, including other cops. Especially other cops.

Father Delgado (played by Jaime Zevallos) is constantly seeking redemption in spite of the fact that he’s not sure that he deserves it. As a school counselor and priest, Delgado is a rock to Ty. Oppressed by the collar, he leads more through words than example, as he still struggles daily with the life he has chosen.

Detective Connors (played by J.D. Evermore) is contradiction of a man. Connors embraces an intimidating persona that overcompensates for a secret he keeps close to the vest.

J.D. Evermore as Detective Connors

Liam (played by Carl Lundstedt) is a salt-of-the-earth townie. Liam operates as Tandy’s partner in crime while moonlighting as her boyfriend. But underneath this rough-around-the-edges appearance, Liam has big dreams. All of them include Tandy.

Carl Lundstedt as Liam

Melissa Bowen (played by Andrea Roth) is the eternal optimist, despite struggles to adapt to her new existence. She’s complex and compromised, and often needs to fill her edges, but her love for her daughter burns brightly outside.

Andrea Roth as Melissa

Adina Johnson (played by Gloria Reuben) invests every aspect of her being into giving her son the life she believes he deserves. But she props up and protects Tyrone so much she almost forgets to love him.

Gloria Reuben as Mrs. Johnson

Otis Johnson (played by Miles Mussenden) trudges through his desk job to keep his family safe and happy. All while too-quietly mourners a loss. When he can, this working-class father does what he can to ensure his son Tyrone will grow up to be a man.

Miles Mussenden as Mr. Johnson

Olivia Holt and Aubrey Joseph took to the WonderCon stage to introduce Tandy & Tyrone to the world!

This weekend, fans got their first glimpse at the latest Marvel television super heroes, as “Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger’s” very own Tyrone and Tandy were introduced to the Marvel fans during their very first WonderCon panel! Led by executive producer and Marvel’s Head of Television Jeph Loeb, Olivia Holt (Tandy Bowen/Dagger), Aubrey Joseph (Tyrone Johnson/Cloak), executive producer and showrunner Joe Pokaski, and director Gina Prince-Bythewood took the stage to talk about the new show based on cult Marvel comics.

“From the get-go, Aubrey and I had a really awesome connection,” said Holt. The actors’ great connection on-screen and off, making for a perfect pairing.

This is the first lead role for Joseph, who acknowledged the dynamic with his co-star, “Just to have a friend who was there and to look out for me and make sure I was good and that I felt safe and I felt comfortable.” Looking to Holt, he sweetly declared, “I’m glad I have you as my Dagger. It was meant to be.”

Loeb acknowledged what might be considered a controversial move for some comic fans, moving the show out of New York to New Orleans. Pokaski joked that it was a concern because New York doesn’t have enough super heroes, “Hell’s Kitchen has like six [heroes] and it’s four blocks.” Filming in New Orleans just made sense for the show, “There’s a magic, there’s voodoo—there’s so much history underneath it—and I think it was the perfect place for Tandy and Tyrone to be,” asserted Pokaski, confidently.

Prince-Bythewood echoed that sentiment as she described the city’s authenticity, “New Orleans is such a beautiful city; it’s colorful, it has beauty, and it also has heartbreak,” all of which provides the perfect backdrop for the story.

See the duo in their element when “Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger” premieres on Freeform June 7!
